There are many different factors that affect the price of a replacement screen such as whether it is XGA, WXGA, Widescreen, LED, Ultrathin, Netbook, Touchscreen etc. and obviously, the larger the screen, the more expensive it is! Laptop screen replacement is not covered by our fixed price guarantee, due to the variable cost of screens for each make / model / size. However, we do have a fixed labour charge of £44.99 to replace a broken screen, so for example, a Dell Inspiron 1545 15" screen replacement (15.6″ WXGA Widescreen with LED backlight) would total £101.98 inc VAT as of 27th Feb 2012!

 

What to look for:

 

 

If your screen resembles either of the above images, then the screen is broken & needs to be replaced. Give us a call with your laptop's make & model & we can quote you a price to replace it. We can normally get a replacement screen delivered next day & have your laptop up & running again within 48 hours.

 

 

If your screen resembles either of the above, then it is most likely a video/motherboard problem, which will be a fixed price repair. We can take your laptop to our workshop & have it fixed & back to you within 3-5 working days. The cost of a laptop screen repair will usually be covered by our fixed price laptop repair offer, as it's normally motherboard related!

 

One of the most common problems we see is with the backlight; it looks like the light has gone out, but you can still see the normal display very faintly on the screen. This doesn't need a screen replacement & the easiest way to check is to plug an external monitor into the vga port of your laptop and you should see a normal picture. This type of problem IS covered by our £99.95 fixed fee!
